About Us

Chiosco by Ormeggio was opened in 2014 by Alessandro and Anna Pavoni as the relaxed, casual counterpart to their two-hatted restaurant, Ormeggio at The Spit.

Inspired by the laid-back seaside trattorias of Italy, Chiosco was created as a place for friends and families to gather, share simple and authentic dishes, and enjoy the pleasure of dining by the water. From the beginning, the vision was to create a welcoming, family-friendly venue that was barefoot-friendly, BYO, and effortlessly relaxed.

Today, Chiosco continues to celebrate the Italian way of living well—good food, great company and long lunches enjoyed with a view across Middle Harbour.
